Heart behind HTL Revelational College:
The desire for this college was born in 2004, in a small church on a farm, Sonkasdrif, in the Western Cape. At that time the congregation was led by late Past Mardene Cronjé, also a general in HTL. A group of us, including the current Generals of HTL International, was having a leadership retreat. During this time, we shared our dreams for the future. I shared with the group that my biggest dream was, to one day have a college. I desired to have a bible school, but one that is different than the norm. Returning home, I shared my dream with late Past. Joe Hawley from Word and Life church. After which I became involved in Word and Life’s Bible School. In the meantime, we continued doing outreaches and other ministry and I kept this dream of a college alive in my heart.
During the Lockdown of 2020, two students wanted to study theology and after exploring different avenues, they expressed a desire to study somewhere that truly focusses on the Apostolic. At that moment we decided we are going to start this college. Immediately we started to put things in motion. My heart’s desire before the Lord was that it would be a different type of college. It should not just be another theoretical Theological course. The Lord answered me saying: “Teach them about My Spirit”. When this fell into my spirit, the way we handled the first group of students was truly different. They are special to me. Every prescribed book the students had to read, were books I received from Lord, from my knees. Every assignment of trees to be planted, were assignments from the Lord.
The start of the college was a difficult season, because there was no one focusing full time on the administration side of things. It was a challenging task to get everything in order, according to the correct standards. I was on the mountain in a time of consecration before the Lord and one of the things I was asking Him was: “what needs to be different in the HTL college?”. I returned with an uncertainty regarding the college. Thereafter I went on a dry fast, because I didn’t want to move away from the vision I had as to what I wanted to give to the people. Then I clearly experienced that in the past, many talked about the dark kingdom and the demons. However, I decided I do not want to be like that, I would rather want to talk about the light. Then I realised, while lying before the Lord, that the children of God do not know how to deal with the devil. They need to come to a realisation, when it is him, or their own bad decisions, or when they were disobedient. So, I started with research in this regard. I comprised a small booklet; The dark kingdom and how to prepare yourself against it. In 2022 this will be part of the compulsory modules for all the students, regardless which track they are on.
Looking at the time ahead, I am excited about the next books, resources and revelations God will reveal for the next season of the college. Some of the topics that are already on my heart is how to do business in a godly manner (Kingship), and how do you break through in prayer for those God places on your heart. I want to equip the intercessors on how to bring the heavenlies down.
May we continue to walk according to His heartbeat and vision for this college.
